We crossed the Adriatic Sea and arrived in Durres, Albania.

...the country of the Shqipëtar was greeting us...

We met good old friends of the Run. Together we arrived in

we visited the "Shkolla Mesme Kometare Sportive Benardina Qerraxhia” - school...

The principal and a city representative received the torch...

...a small loop for Peace...

Some of the students joined us on our run out of Durres.

Thank you Durres!

We started our run towards the North.

To the right snowy mountain peaks, to the left the Sea...

...nice people along the road...

Lucas enjoys his first Peace Run...

We reached Lezhe.

..our team arrived at the historic site of Lezhe.

The mayor welcomed us...

...and a group of traditional folk dancers...

...definitely no proper running shoes...

...country guessing...

...and our song...

...stamps...

The old fortress.

The national hero Skenderbeu fought many battles against the Ottomans...

...another dance ended the program. Our team was invited to join in...

Thank you Lezhe for the warm welcome!

We continued to Shkoder...

...beyond Shkoder: the mountains of Montenegro greeted us...

...the last few km's to the border....

Thank you Albania! A short, but nice Run through the ancient country...
