The morning-quietude of the enormous St. Lawrence River set the stage for the beginning of a very long day.

The team arrived at City Hall in Edmundston at was thrilled to meet with Mayor Cyrille Simard!

L’Équipe est arrivée à l’Hôtel de Ville d’Edmundston. Nous étions ravis de rencontrer le Maire Cyrille Simard !

He held the Torch and made a wish for peace.

Il a tenu le Flambeau et fait un souhait pour la Paix.

Runners presented the Mayor with a piece of art, painted by the Founder of the Run, Sri Chinmoy.

Les coureurs lui ont offert une oeuvre d’art, peinte par le Fondateur de la Course, Sri Chinmoy.

Across the street from City Hall children welcomed the runners in a park.

De l’autre côté de la rue, face à la Mairie, les enfants ont accueilli les coureurs dans le parc.

Purnakarma from Winnipeg taught them the french World-Harmony-Run song, also composed by the Founder.

Purnakama de Winnipeg leur a enseigné les mots en français de La Course de L’Harmonie Mondiale, aussi composée par le Fondateur.

Before lunch time, everyone made their wish for peace.

Avant le repas, tout le monde a offert ses voeux pour la Paix.

In the afternoon we met with Mayor Carmel-St. Amand at Palais de sports CV Leclerk.

En après-midi, nous avons rencontré M. Carmel St-Amand, Maire de St-Léonard, N.B., au Palais des Sports CV Leclerc

Sadhiman was happy to do run in between ceremonies.

Children and staff at "Frolic Day Camp" gave "hi-fives" to the arriving runners.

Just up the street Deputy Mayor of Grand Falls, Denise Lagace-Rioux, greeted the team.

Tout juste au bout de la rue, la Mairesse-Adjointe de Grand-Sault, N.B. , Denise Lagacé-Rioux, a accueilli l’Équipe.

Denise kindly gave us a tour of the Town Hall.

where Mayor Darrin Foster received the Peace Torch.

Local children had fun at the ceremony.

Les enfants de la place ont eu du plaisir à la cérémonie.

Mayor Foster kindly offered us newly designed and printed "Hartland-Coins". He was full of energy, humour and very friendly. Thanks for such a heartfelt welcome to Hartland!
