Suðuroy

This morning we took the early ferry to Suðuroy, the most southern island of the Faroes.

It was really windy outside on the two hour ferry ride.

Der var meget vind udenfor..

We participated in a half marathon, the first one on this island- The pre-race briefing.

Vi deltog i halvmaraton, det første på denne ø - og mødtes indenfor til en velkomst

Suren introduced the Peace Run to the racers.

And we're off!!!

og så tog vi afsted.

It was super windy when we began.

Det blæste meget i starten

Lots of participants held the torch.

Mange af løberne holdte fakkelen

Papaha drove the support van.

This tunnel was 2.5 km.

Tunnelen var 2,5 km lang

The race course was mainly along the water with lots of stunning views.

Ruten var for det meste langs havet og udsigten var vidunderlig

We met Torshavn Mayor, Annika Olsen, and her delightful family.
