Hofsós - Reykir í Hrútafirði

Reported by Salil Wilson 138.0 km

Today was a big day of running and Vajin got things off to a good start by knocking out a 13 km run. We set him loose in the morning and away he went.

Við þurftum að hlaupa mikið í dag og Vajin hóf daginn með því að hlaupa fystu 13 kílómetrana.

As per usual there was beautiful fjords and mountains to be seen all around us.

Eins og alltaf, þá höfðum við útsýni yfir fallega firði og fjöll.

We met with some aspiring soccer players in Sauðárkrókur.

Við hittum krakka úr Tindastóli á Sauðárkróki.

We ran a few laps with these inspired young sports people.

Við hlupum nokkrar hringi á hlaupabrautinni með þessum ungu íþróttamönnum.

Afterward we met with some of the older youth who were doing service gardening around the town.

Í kjölfarið hittum við krakka úr vinnuskóla Sauðárkróks.

Next we embarked on a 4-man leap frog which enabled us to cover about 45 km in approximately 120 minutes. It was quite a complicated process.

Til að klára kílómetra dagsins sendum við fjóra menn út með Friðarkyndil á sama tíma og náðum að komast yfir 45 kílómetra á 120 mínútum.

Salil dedicated his 14 km to celebrate his mother's birthday which was today!

Salil tileinkaði sína 14 kílómetra dagsins móður sinni, sem átti afmæli í dag.

Salil and Vajin then went to examine their catch.
