...Running in with Vesuvio in the background...

...Children from several local schools awaited us at Parco Massimo Troisi...

...All togheter with the Peace Run torch for a a wonderful group photo. Thank you "Maestri di Stada" for the enthusiasm!

...running once around the park...

...we kept running and proceeded to the city hall of Napoli...

...as we reached the "Piazza Municipale", over 1000 kids awaited us eagerly!

Luigi de Magistris, the Mayor of Napoli, received the peace torch...

...he passed it on to the children...

...together we all walked through the pedestrian area towards the city hall...

A huge crowd gathered in front of the city hall. A highly professional children choir from the Opera House Teatro San Carlo of Napoli directed by Stefania Rinaldi and the Orchestra of Liceo Margherita di Savoia directed by Antonella Palazzo, performed an arrangement of the Peace Run Song, the World Harmony Run Song, the Bernstein composition " One hand, one heart", arranged by professor Bruno Persico and Preludio in sol minore Op. 23 n. 5 of Rachmaninoff arranged by professor Maria Teresa Fico and Giovanni Grima.

Heading for the school...

The Istituto Morano of Caivano welcomed us in a big way!

All school was engaged for the ceremony.

Receiving the sweetest gift: a delicious cake and... capcakes too!

The school had a special project about recycling waste materials to welcome the Peace Run as an exercise to promote a positive spirit that can transform problems (the area suffers from a diffuse illegal abandonment of toxic waste) into solutions.

A wonderful wedding dress! All made by recycled used paper! Designed by the two students on the left and right of the model.
