Poland 17 June: Dzierżoniów - Wałbrzych

Schooltime in Poland

A fresh start in Dzierzoniow, Poland. Our first school ceremony!

There were really a lot of kids and the feeling was very dynamic.

The school director cheerfully received the torch and passed it to all the kids.

Quite a few teachers took part in the meeting.

It was a bit chilly and rainy, but our mood was sunny.

At the next school in Dzierzoniow children were peeking out of windows to wave and say hi.

Again, the hall was really full.

The school director.

The teachers were a great bunch.

On the way to the third school in Dzierzoniow. But is it Art?

In the third school very sweet kids welcomed us most cheerfully.

They guessed all the countries in no time.

Meanwhile the sky cleared up.

In Swidnica the weather let us go outside for the first time.

"What's going on out there?"

Running around the world. Here we symbolically cross the ocean it seems.

Thank you Swidnica!

In the Polish woods after a beautiful run.

Our last meeting today was at the award ceremony for biathletes in Walbrzych.

The Master of Ceremonies receiving the torch.

Judges and coaches also had their time with the Peace torch.

Playing the country guessing game.

Club members lined up to pose with the torch.

Back on the road, this snail just barely made it with his life...

Who would have guessed that this game would give us so much joy? A perfect way to wind down after a busy day.
