Crescent City, California - Talent, Oregon

Last night we had a wonderful stay at Crescent City Redwoods KOA. Our friend Kevin, pictured holding the torch, is the owner and has offered free accommodation to our team for the last 10 years. Also pictured is Angela, who enthusiastically embraced the message of the Peace Run. Thank you so much for supporting the Peace Run and providing us with a beautiful place to stay for so many years!

Sadly today we said goodbye to California, but happily we have now made it to Oregon!

Today was a very special day, as we visited the beautiful home of Mahasamrat Bill Pearl and Bhavatarini Judy Pearl. Bhavatarini prepared a delicious lunch for the whole team, and we were thrilled to spend the day with these great people. Here we are pictured singing the Peace Run Song.

Akbota performed a traditional folksong from her home country of Khazakstan on the Kobyz, a Khazak style violin.

Our team got really big today!!We were thrilled to be joined by friends and peace lovers from Talent as well as from all over the country for this special time!

Arpan flew in from New York and bought with him some inspirational pictures and writings by Sri Chinmoy for Bhavatarini and Mahasamrat.

Next it was time for a Woody Guthrie sing-a-long led by Stota and Daulot on the banjos, who came down especially from Seattle.

We started with "This Land is your land"

Arpan joined in on the harmonica.

Our international team enjoyed singing American folk songs!

Bhavatarini showed us aroung her beautiful garden. There are big fish in this pond!

Bhavatarini loves animals. Here she is pictured holding Rosa, one of 3 tortoises she owns who are all around 90 years old!

Here Mahasamrat is pictured with Sarankhu in front of the first car he bought as a teenager, for $25! Sarankhu is the first person he has ever met from Mongolia.

Mahasamrat owns an incredible collection of refurbished cars, and they all still work!

Daulot and Mahasamrat sharing a sweet moment together.

We were thrilled to visit Mahasamrats office, which is also home to more incredible collections- this time bicycles and tin toys, as well as all kinds of antique games, strength testers, trophies and more!

Stota owns a laundromat in Seattle called Transformation-Surprise, so she is an expert on quarters- she gave a fairly confident estimate on the dollar value of this jar- lets just say it is a lot!

Pragati enjoying the collection of toys combined with many trophies presented to Mahasamrat by Sri Chinmoy.

Pranlobha came especially to help out and spend time with her dear friends, Bhavatarini and Mahasamrat.

Some of the many medals presented to Mahasamrat by Sri Chinmoy.

And trophies! Many were also to Bhavatarini. Sri Chinmoy really loved to honor the two of them!

Mahasamrat tries on his honorary fire fighter hat.

Akbota decided she felt very at home here!

Mahasamrat and Judys friends, Mark, Brenda and Layne Olsen came to visit us also. They promised next time they will run with us, we are looking forward to it already!

Please send us a message, we would LOVE to hear from you.

See who is sending us messages

We were charmed by Bhavatarini and Mahasamrats stories of their cherished times with Sri Chinmoy.

One last group shot before bed. Thank you Bhavatarini and Mahasamrat for a magical day with the two of you. Your goodness, greatness and oneness was deeply inspiring and nourishing for us all!

In the oneness-heart
There is abiding peace.
With our oneness-heart
We are all trying to create
A peaceful world-family.
-Sri Chinmoy
