Florence - Lincoln City

Reported by Natabara Rollosson, Pierre Lantuas 81.0 mi

We began the day with sunny skies out of Florence, Oregon, with an incredibly scenic route by the rocky and lushly green coastline.

The men's team thoroughly enjoyed the kind hospitality of the Best Western Pier Point Inn, which had an incredible view of the bay and sunrise.

The women's team was kindly hosted by the Silver Sands Motel, which was right on the beach!

Arpan was joined by his brother Giribar, who lives outside of Eugene, Oregon. Giribar was part of the first Peace Runs in the 1980's!

Puroga made it past the Sea Lion Caves, holding his breath!

Sarankhuu cranked out fast miles with a smile.

Meeting new friends in Newport.

Suhasini running strong!

Pragati taking a break from the United Nations and enjoying a bit of peace on the Run.

Sanaz crossing the bridge in Newport.

Running into our 11am ceremony!

We visited the Newport Recreational Center and found the children to be extremely smart in our guessing games!

Skits showing harmony/disharmony.

This one was disharmony!

Starting the group run with the Peace Torch.

True or false? Is this girl running with or away from Arpan and his harmonica?

We are here! (Newport, Oregon)

We thought we would include the Peace Run RV in the group photo!

Pierre and Josef doubling up on finishing the day's miles.

We were happy to meet Rick Mark, editor of the Lincoln City News Guard and his wife Brit Nelson.

The incredible view from our window at the Salishan Resort south of Lincoln City (more on that tomorrow).

This will be our last chance to enjoy the *brisk* Pacific Ocean on the Oregon coast.
