What a great day to begin running with two long time dedicated runners, Willie Sue and her dear friend Dorothy from New Albany. Thanks so much for joining us.

Our next stop was the Maria Montessori School in Memphis, TN. Many of the students knew of the Peace Run and greeted us warmly with a song.

One of the big highlights of our visit to Maria Montessori was bestowing the Torch Bearer Award on Maria Cole. She brought the ideals of Montessori to Memphis in 1986. Her tireless dedication to her students is changing countless lives.

The run finished up at the Olive Branch City Hall, the team was welcomed by the Olive Branch High School Band.

Mayor Phillips reads a Proclamation naming May 5th as Sri Chinmoy Oneness Home Peace Run Day.

The Band plays the Peace Run song for us.

All the officers had a chance to hold the torch.

Including some firemen who had a particular interest in the flame.
