Salil Wilson
Peace Run Executive Director
New York City, USA (Canberra, Australia)
I'm on the US run because I love it. I feel it is the most meaningful and significant thing I can do with my life. Life on the road, carrying a torch for peace, is a remarkably enriching and rewarding experience. Connecting with people around an ideal - a yearning for a more peaceful world - is beautiful and inspiring. It gives me life and I'm grateful.
Arpan DeAngelo

I am fortunate to have been involved in the World Peace Run since its inception in 1987.  Over the past 25 years I have kept participating becasue of the children who always offer us in many unique ways the joy and enthusiasm that is so needed for a harmonious world. I also look forward to joining international team members and to run with them throughout this vast and beautiful country, meeting the people and sharing the harmony that Sri Chinmoy promoted in creating this wonderful event.

The World Harmony Run is a beautiful, dynamic, interesting, horizon-expanding, healthful, people friendly way for me to express and dedicate myself to a cause higher than myself. I took my first step for peace and harmony in 2001, running from Minneapolis to Chicago, now this year, I'll have run through most of the United States, and have also run in Columbia, South America and Bali, Indonesia. The World Harmony Run is both an honor and a privilege to be a part of and one of the most challenging endeavors that I have undertaken.
Pujari Schaeffer
San Diego, USA
I started running the Peace Run in 1987 in California.  I get so much joy from the Peace Run and I have so many great memories of running through the beautiful USA.  It has helped me so much both inwardly and outwardly by keeping me active physically and  also sharing, especially with children,  the message of  oneness in our world family.  I am now 66 years old, but I still want to participate by joining the team and sharing the  joy and dynamism that the Peace Run offers to all who participate.

The Run means to me simplicity. I have to give up a lot of things, I don't really need, but needed for everyday life. Here I can feel more free than anywhere else. I can see unknown lands, experience unknown cultures and whiteness the beauty of the nature wile serving for good. Feels better than being at home. :) If I can I used to join as long as I can. In 2010 I was lucky enough to run trough all the European leg.
New Delhi, India
I have been a keen member of the Peace Run team since 2008. I have participated in the European, Australian and Indian sub-continent Peace Runs and travelled around 11 countries. I grew up in India and always volunteered in local of community event. I initially started running medium to long distances around 2000 in order to lose weight but it became my passion in no time. In early 2008 I also became a student of Sri Chinmoy. His inspiration behind the Peace Run (that "Peace begins with me") quickly attracted my attention and gave me an opportunity to serve the community while doing something that I love. With this inspiration I am now looking forward to be part of the Peace Run in the United Stated of America.
