Peace Run was "special guest" of Via Pacis Rome Half Marathon 2018.
The initiative organized by the Vatican, Rome Capital and the Italian Athletic Federation, combines sport and peace, with particular attention to the interreligious theme.

The 2018 edition was dedicated to the memory of Nelson Mandela on the anniversary of the one hundredth anniversary of his birth.

Martina, of the Institute of Via delle Carine in Rome, was the Peace Run delegate for the occasion. She had the noble task of reading a reflection of Nelson Mandela on the ethical value of sport, holding the Peace torch, in front of more then 7500 runners.
