Welcome to Slovenia! A small country with a very big heart...

...our first steps...

...right into the primary school Brežice. A very colorful welcome.

Slovenians are very musical. They have a long tradition of folk music and dancing...

Peace can be felt in every heart....

The mayor received the torch...

...and passed it on to the kids.

Slovenia is really very small...

We reached Krško. The children assembled on the sport field.

The mayor welcomed our team...

...and we passed the torch.

A real highlight: everybody joined for a very dynamic lap around the track!

Some of the kids carried the torch on to the next town.

8 km along the river Sava...

...and the next group took over: runners from Senovo awaited us and joined in.

Senovo gave us an enthusiastic welcome.

we met the kids on the sport field.

...we passed the torch...

Kids like to run - everywhere, any time!

we reached Podčetrtek. The mayour and a group of runners awaited us a few km before.

The mayor proofed to be a good runner! He set the pace.

A musical welcome...

Runners from the next city joined already...

We went on to Rogaška Slatina.

The local runners joined us all the way.

The deputy mayor of Rogaška Slatina welcomed us.

We got company...

Finally we reached Slovenska Bistrica.

The mayor (on the left) welcomed us and after ind words he passed the torch...

...new friends...

Thank you Slovenska Bistrica for the nice meeting. we really enjoyed our first day in Slovenia!
