Athens, GA - Atlanta, GA

The womens team awoke to the peace and quiet of this beautiful country home, having been gererously hosted by our dear friends, Kate and Dan Everett.

All our gratitude to Kate and Dan for hosting some of our team since we first met back in 2012! Here is also pictured their good friends Megan and her adorable son, River.

While some of us made lunch, Kate took Preetidutta and Uuganaa on a stunning forest walk- in her backyard!

Here Kate and Dan are pictured with their daughter, Arwen, and some gifts of appreciation we offered to them.

Kate and Dan invited us to share the Peace Torch with the congregation at their church, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens.

We had a small presentation and peace run with the youth group- they have some good runners!

After the service, we were grateful that many members of the congregation welcomed us with tea, treats and oneness-smiles at the hospitality hour, and then came outside to hold the torch.

The flaming chalice you see on this womans shirt is the symbol of the Unitarian Universalism Church.

This woman very self givingly makes beautiful quilts for homeless people and also for some of the younger members of the church community. She said each quilt takes about 1 1/2 weeks to make!

One last thank you to Dan and Kate from the whole team!

Time to run! It was hot but very beautiful!

Uuganaa is definitely in America!

Once again we met many new friends and peace lovers along the way!

Two brothers!

As with many of us, Preetidutta and Uuganaa did not know each other before the Peace Run, and now they are friends!

Preetidutta leaves today to go back to New Zealand. We will all miss her loving, fun, happy and kind presence on the team! She was happy that a caring passer by gave her a bottle of water on her last run for this time. We hope she will join us again in the future!

Santiva ran over a beautiful river.

We arrived in Atlanta!
