Harita Davies of the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run offers Najmun Nahar the Peace Run Torch- Bearer Award.

Najmun, an explorer, adventurer, and Peace activist is in the process of visiting all 200 countries of the world as she carries her country's Bangladeshi flag in a spirit of peace and oneness.

She has visited 135 countries to date and plans to finish her unique journey in the year 2021.

Traveling most of the time alone and armed with the message of Peace and Oneness, Najmun has faced very dangerous situations in her quest to inspire people of all backgrounds, cultures and beliefs. She especially tries to inspire and uplift the women and children of the world with her courage and sense of oneness which she powerfully embodies in all of her endeavours around the globe.

Najmun was very grateful for receiving this award among many other awards she has received along her journeys which began in the year 2000. We sang the Bangladeshi National Anthem as well as a number of songs written by Sri Chinmoy, Founder of the Peace Run, who also originally hailed from Bangladesh.

Some of the Peace Run team members share the Torch and our official banner along with the Bengladeshi Flag. She later most kindly offered her flag to our team as a very generous gesture of gratitude for this meaningful experience here today.

Najmun proudly stands with the Peace Torch and her Torch-Bearer Award in front of a photo of Sri Chinmoy, Founder of the Peace Run.

Arpan, a long time member of the Peace Run, drew much inspiration from Najmun and her presentation of her amazing endeavours and journeys throughout this vast and beautiful Earth. Her efforts have inspired us to continue in our own efforts to spread the message of peace and oneness throughout the world as we have been doing since the creation of the Peace Run by Sri Chinmoy in 1987.

Peace Runners and Bangladeshis gather in gratitude to Najmun as she offers her goodwill and oneness from the depths of her heart.

Dima and Mahatapa, our host for today, have made this event possible with their sincere self-giving efforts.

A wonderful slide show/video accompanied Najmun as she told some of her exciting adventures throughout the past 19 years.

She also kindly answered some of our questions as to how and why she has taken on such an amazing challenge.

From her childhood she had the dream of seeing the whole world, traveling with a sense of peace, oneness and freedom, like a bird in the vast sky.

Dima Nefartity, a journalist originally from Bangladesh, was also one of Najmun's teachers many years ago.

Najmun and Dima consider each other as their dear angel as they both work tirelessly to uplift humanity through their endless efforts of spreading peace and friendship throughout the world.

Chandika, from New York, and Udita, originally from Bangladesh, have a new found friend in Najmun.

Harita, on behalf of the Peace Run worldwide, offers our deepest gratitude to Najmun for her exemplary and heroic efforts to spread the message of peace and oneness in her selfless journey around the globe.

Bangladesh is also quite proud and grateful to Najmun, a true daughter of her mother country and of the whole world as well, which now has become her extended home and family.
