Turkey 3 October: Küçükkuyu - Bozcaada

joy

We started our morning in Küçükkuyu Fernur Sözen Ortaokulu.

The children were dynamic but also very polite.

Running around the school garden.

Thank you for nice inspiring meeting! Hope to see you in the future.

Well, they just didn't want to let us go, so we had company in the small streets around the school.

Today's route keeps following the coastline.

Dima from Georgia.

Olive trees are pretty much everywhere here.

Street sellers in Assos / Behramkale.

Behram Ilkokulu has really sweet kids and kind teachers.

The clown is back.

Running around the school.

Thank you and see you again!

Our Turkish runner Kader.

Trying out how it works in the classrooms.

And teaching a little bit of English.

Statue of Aristoteles who lived in Assos for a couple of years. Assos is right across the Greek island of Lesbos.

Fruits of different kinds growing along the way.

Little cleanup is good for our nice car.

Arriving in style to Gülpınar school which has such a long name that I won't fit in here :)

A lot of kids around but all behaving so nicely!

Mr. Headmaster.

Thank you for this nice experience!

Oh, the Turkish cookies!

Our friend Leyla Demir, currently school director in Ayvacık.

Temple of Apollo in Gülpınar. It used to be a pilgrimage site in the ancient times.

And of course, finishing the day by watching sun set down.
