Aachen - Simmerath

Reported by Mahiya Lindner 41.0 km

We started to run from Aachen on the Vennbahnweg to Stolberg.

Run into Stolberg

A runner of the StolRun received us.

The mayor of Stolberg Mr.Haas (smiling, middle of the front row) and his team shortly before the start of the StolRun. The StolRun is an obstacle run over 7 or 3 km. Many of our team also participated!

Mr Haas carrying the torch at the start of the StolRun.

The StolRun taught us that on the road to peace we have to overcome quite a few obstacles!

And also help our fellow runners make it through!

Just before the finish we had to run through a fountain of foam. Great fun!

We thank both the mayor Mr. Haas (black shirt) and the organiser of the StolRun Mrs. Bungenberg (pink polo) for allowing us to participate!

Nach dem 7km Lauf von Herrn Haas. Wir bedanken uns bei der Organisatorin des StolRun, Frau Bungenberg!

Our team received a certificate of participation.

We ended the day with a scenic run to the Rursee Einruhr, a beautiful lake in the Eifel region.

The best way to end a Peace Run day is a scenic picknick. Smiling faces and happy hearts!
