Early in the morning, we came across a French couple who were also running along the beach. They took the opportunity to place a wish for Peace on the Torch that would travel across the entire island.
Logo pela manhã, cruzámos-nos com um casal de franceses, que também corria pela praia. Aproveitaram o momento para deixar um desejo de Paz na Tocha que iria percorrer toda a ilha.

The beaches of Príncipe Island are true tropical refuges: stretches of golden sand, often deserted, embraced by palm trees and the deep green of the forest. The sea is crystal clear, shifting between shades of blue and green, and each beach holds its own charm — some wilder and more secluded, others welcoming community life and the tranquil rhythm of ‘leve, leve’.
As praias da Ilha do Príncipe são verdadeiros refúgios tropicais: faixas de areia dourada, muitas vezes desertas, abraçadas por palmeiras e pelo verde intenso da floresta. O mar é cristalino, alternando entre tons de azul e verde, e cada praia guarda um encanto próprio — algumas mais selvagens e isoladas, outras acolhendo a vida comunitária e o ritmo tranquilo do “leve, leve”.

Fish carefully dried in the sun, on wooden structures, to later be savored in traditional dishes.

It was Saturday, a day of rest for the schoolchildren. The sand and the sea became their playground, and we took the opportunity to introduce them to the Peace Run, sharing smiles and hope.
Era sábado, dia de descanso das crianças da escola. A areia e o mar tornaram-se o seu parque de diversões, e aproveitámos para lhes apresentar a Peace Run, partilhando sorrisos e esperança.
