Many Thanks to Big4 Bunbury Riverside Holiday Park for accommodation last night. They gave us a great welcome.

We were especially grateful to the Big4 as our cabins were on Sri Chinmoy Street, a street in the holiday park dedicated to Sri Chinmoy, the founder of the Peace Run. It's not every day that happens!

The Peace Run team ran into Crooked Carrot Cafe today at Myalup. It is many things rolled into one- cafe, garden, museum, playground, florist, gift shop and a refuge from driving. It’s really popular with families, pooches and now the Peace Runners. It’s like an off-leash dog park for children. Thanks to owner Sonia and Emma for facilitating.

The Shire President of Harvey Michelle Campbell was honoured to hold the torch at Crooked Carrot and we are honoured to have her receive it. Michelle was the first elected ashore president of the region. She talked about the beauty of the region, its history and people and their Friendship City Agreement with the City of Moka to establish goodwill, friendly relations and facilitate common prosperity.

We dedicated a Peace Tree in the grounds of the cafe, which are a very peaceful place to relax for a while.

John, a very professional photographer came along taking shots of the runners on the road and children holding the torch at Crooked Carrot. These are his 2 children running with the torch.

In the grounds of the Crooked Carrot we found one of the old W Class trams, built in 1927, that used to run all over Melbourne up until the late 1980s. Pushpendra, one of our Australian team members, used to catch a tram like this home from school. He recalls, "There was no heating for winter days and of course no aircon either. Though one could always open all the windows and pull down the blinds. These trams could actually go reasonably fast, but they were very heavy and I recall that their brakes were not the greatest…"

After the meeting we were happy to spend some time at the Crooked carrot, drinking coffee, enjoying their vegetable garden.....
