Thank you to Best Western in Sedalia for providing complimentary accommodations for the team. We all had a very restful night. Your generosity allows us to continue our journey of peace around the United States.
The team starts early as it is going to be hot and humid today. And happy to receive local blessings to start the day.
Our first ceremony is in the Unity Village Chapel, located on the grounds of Unity Village. Unity is a spiritual movement founded by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore with a vision to help and serve humanity through prayer, publishing and community. They have published the Daily Word for people all around the world since 1924.
Thank you Ayesha for inviting the Peace Runners to receive the goodwill and blessings of Unity Village and to share some inspiration with the young of Unity. And thank for the fantastic tour of the Unity Village!
Thank you to Unity Village for welcoming us so warmly. We are grateful for your blessings and for the enthusiasm of your young people.
A few moments of silence in the Peace Chapel. The team spontaneously sang 'A New of Peace' composed by Peace Run founder, Sri Chinmoy.
The flowers on the doors were individually crafted and inspired by one of Charles son's who wanted an additional space of beauty for those people coming to visit Unity.
As part of the tour of Unity Village, Ayesha escorted the team into the catacombs which lie underneath all of Unity Village.
The Unity Village Labyrinth is the largest paver labyrinth in the USA. Its designed in an 11 circuit medieval pattern, spanning 6,358 square feet with a tree quarters mile path and 90 ft diameter.
The team then visited with the Vedanta Society of Kansas City. Vedanta is one of the oldest spiritual philosophies of the world. It is based on the Vedas and is universal in its nature and is equally relevant to all cultures and religious backgrounds.
