Today we visited the National Transportation Museum and the National Route 66 Museum located on Route 66 in historic Elk City, Oklahoma.
In the Transportation Museum we saw all eight states to which the Mother Road runs. They have interesting artifacts, antique cars and the great spirit of Route 66.
Replica of an old fashioned general store. Several items throughout the store are antiques, some dating back over a 100 yrs.
Time to buy groceries for tomorrow's lunch for the team.
The Old Town Museum is based on a beautiful two story Victorian house where you can see early day pioneer life.
Upstairs, the museum is dedicated to cowboy and rodeo memorabilia donated kindly by the Beutler Brothers Rodeo Stock Producers.
We stoped at Cactus Cove Inn and Suites. We expressed our gratitude for arranging accommodations for us tonight. We shared a certificate of appreciation for their generosity and kindness.
