The Peace Runners first ceremony of the day is Ptarmigan Elementary School. The Peace Run video starts the program for the very attentive students.

Students love the Peace Run song, composed by Founder Sri Chinmoy.  The song speaks about oneness-world heart joy, hope and peace, while running!

The students now join the team to sing the World Harmony Run song!

You be the judge, does this behavior look peaceful or not peaceful?

Time for some quiet time feeling peace in our hearts.

Thank you to Ptarmigan Elementary School for having us!  And a big thank you Principal Drake!  You set an excellent example for the students.  Here she receives artwork by Peace Run Founder, Sri Chinmoy.

Now its time to go outside and share the peace torch.

What a beautiful school filled with joy and enthusiasm.

Thank you Ptarmigan for having us and for joining the Peace Run team!

Now we begin the run to our second meeting of the day, with Governor Mike Dunleavy.

Woods and....

....sidewalks on our way.  It is a beautiful sunny day.

The team enjoyed the beautiful mountain views.

Arriving at the Governor's office.

Peace Run meets Governor Dunleavy.

A peace loving passerby from Australia shares his hopes for peace.

The Peace Runners arrive at Northwood Elementary School and are immediately greeted by the student ambassadors who will carry the torch in to the program.

They had so much fun doing the actions with us today. Joy, happiness and smiles all around!

Anchorage Mayor Suzanne LaFrance joined us at Northwood Elementary School. She shared her thoughts  about the importance of peace in our lives and the community.

Peace begins in the heart of each of us.

Teachers do such a wonderful work with their love, kindness and compassion to their students. We wanted to honor them by running around the students and they cheered them on enthusiastically in gratitude.  Thank you for having us in your school today!

They were so happy and excited to be able to hold the peace torch.

Udita and Jannatul, a teacher from Bangladesh.

Ulugbek's new friend, Aijan, a teacher from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistans neighbors.

Mayor LaFrance is very happy to carry the Peace Torch with the students.

Thank you Shawarma House!

Our final stop of the day is at the Anchorage Boys and Girls Club.   The kids were ready for us.

Many of the youth were also present at Northwood Elementary so knew the program well.

They were able to join us in singing the Peace Run Song.

And in learning the World Harmony Run song.

They were very quiet feeling peace in their hearts lead by Papaha.

Since they were already experts in what peace looks like, they were happy to participate in the skits, does this look like peace?

How about this?  Yes!

We offered them a certificate and artwork by Sri Chinmoy.

Thank you very much for your enthusiastic participation and heartfelt welcome to the peace runners.

After the ceremony, we sang the Happy Birthday song to our friend Keenley.

Harita and Virangini with Mr. Paul, Youth Mentor of the Boys and Girls Club.

The world is a circle.

Thank you to the Anchorage Boys and Girls Club, Olivia and Abi Patterson for inviting us today. We had so much fun visiting and enjoyed your students and staff, with your enthusiastic participation, you inspired us to continue on our journey bringing this wonderful message of peace and oneness to the rest of the world.

"Aspiration-mountain smilingly inspires humanity's heart" Sri Chinmoy
