Lycksele - Storuman

Reported by Andrea Todic, Thamara Paiva 102.0 km

The start of the day in Lycksele.

The team cheerfully ran to the city hall where we met Ann-Charlott Liljeström, representative of the mayor.

Ann-Charlott Liljeström was delighted by the Peace Run team and it's purpose. Niharika offered a very rare  Blå vägen (Blue road) medal to the city. The special Blå vägen medal was made by the artist Heikki Tervo, father of one of our team members.

To send us off on our journey, Ann-Charlott ran with us proudly and cheerfully.

She reffered to all of us as lovely.

Team running through Lycksele.

Team arriving to the school.

As we arrived the little children from kindergarden started picking the dandelions and giving to everyone in the team.

Principal Richard Grad warmly welcomed the Peace Run.

A little girl from Germany wanted to stand with us so she joined to wave the flag.

World Harmony Run.

The happy principal.

Many kids wanted to get Sweden, Norway or Finland card which shows us how they love their Nordic countries.

The kids made some drawings for us.

The kids made sure that every person in the team has at least one flower if not many. We were very happy.

We brought the flowers on our journey and we were deeply inspired by the whole experience.

Beautiful imagery on our running way towards Storuman.

The stillness of a lake mirroring the nature and the sky is giving us inspiration and peace.

Niharika did the last mile smilingly.
