Sudaji, Bali

Reported by Salil Wilson, Suhasini Septiarini 4.0 km

The enthusiastic students of SD Negeri 4 Sudaji met us as we arrived at the sports field of Sudaji.

It wasn't long before we began our 1 mile run to meet the rest of the younger students at their school.

Paramananda led the way.

We had a scenic run through the village streets and paths. All of it up a pretty steep hill!

It was delightful to be in the Balinese countryside.

We finally made it.

We were charmed and captivated by the traditional Balinese welcome dance.

Zanzan, co-owner of Omunity with Putu, made the introductions.

The Principal welcomed the team.

A moment of silence.

Passing the torch.

Now it was time for a lap of the school led by the Principal.

Pragati presents the school with an artwork by Sri Chinmoy entitled "World Harmony".

Next we had to run to Omunity, a lovely homestay in Sudaji owned by Putu and Zanzan, where a delicious lunch awaited us.

Omang, Putu and Zanzan youngest son presents the torch to Grandma.

Some of the women's team.

Omang and Paramanda.

mmmmm lunch time!!!

All gratitude to Zanzan, Putu and the Omunity Team.
