Wolfville, NS - Kingston, NS

Reported by Brahmata Michael 52.0 km

Thank you to Super 8 in Windsor, NS for hosting the women's team.

A sunrise in Wolfville.

Satyagraha from Romania getting in some morning kilometres.

Jayashri brings it home on the final stretch.

We met up with Mayor Abraham Zebian at the Hantsport Memorial Community Centre. We are grateful to him for coming out early morning on a Saturday to share some nice conversation and quiet moments of reflection. He said about peace, "It's not complicated, you just have to open your heart."

We held the torch together outside of the Renda VanderToorn Memorial Courts. Renda, or "Mrs. V", as she was known to her students, was a beloved physical education teacher, coach and mentor in Hantsport. Mayor Zebian told us about how much of an impact she had on his life as his teacher and he said; "If she was still here, this whole parking lot would have been full of people waiting to meet you!"

Sarah and Alex Naesmyth warmly greeted the team with their three children.

We chatted with them about the Peace Run, their world travels and the town of Kingston. We also sang them the Peace Run song.

They kindly offered us "Peace by Chocolate" Nova Scotia themed chocolate bars, which are sure to disappear pretty fast.

How sweet!

They guessed the countries that the team members came from after we gave them some clues.

Uzbekistan is always the hardest one to guess, but they still got it!

The Aurora Inn graciously hosted the team for the evening and we are so grateful for the lovely accommodation.
