The rainy morning starts out with a special treat for the team. The City of Bridges Running Club meets us at the Springhill Suites for a guided running tour around the 'City of Bridges'.

There is no better way to experience such a beautiful city than wih our excellent running guide, Kim.

Thank you Kim and the City of Bridges Running Club! It was a joy running with you, and for experiencing your city in the best possible way! We look forward to seeing you again next time.

Our next meeting is with our peace loving friends in Clarion. Special Olympian Keira takes the lead carrying the torch on our way to Veteran's Memorial Park. Her champion spirit is an inspiration. She placed first in many events, including weight lifting.

Rain or shine, Clarion's spirit of goodness comes forward.

Helen has joined the team. And we are pleased and proud to have her, for the time she can.

We are very happy to see Joseph and Kathy Croskey once more, who received the Peace Run Torch Bearer Award in 2024. Their lives are lived in the service of others, for which we are very grateful. Adrian is also on hand with them..

City Council President Carol Lapinto is first to show her enthusiasm in celebrating America's 250 year birthday, with Mayor Fulmer Vinson and Council Member Helen Hampikian.

Mayor Fulmer Vinson welcomes the team with the big heart of Clarion. Also present is Jacqueline Griebel from The Kindness Project, For over 20 years she and 'KIndness' have served those in need. She generously provided lunch for the team. Thank you Jackie! We are very grateful. You are fueling our continuing miles. And continuing smiles.

Words of wisdom from Carol Lapinto.

Council member Helen Hampikian is a keen runner.

To finish a wonderful event here in Clarion, Harita collects soil with the help of Council member Hampikian. It will represent Pennsylvania and join the Peace Run collection of soil from all 50 states. Thank you to everyone in Clarion for such a memorable time! Rain or shine is fine when you are among friends!

Raquel leads the way as we continue, all smiles!

Violeta makes new friends.

And our final event of the day with in the town of Kane. We are so happy to see our friend Mayor Schimp again and the 'Kids of Steel'.

Runners from Kane's Kids of Steel - they ran a mile at the Pittsburgh Marathon!

John supports his local community with a smile.

Let's run!

Sweet treats all around!

Chris leads the way, with Gints.
