Hardin, Montana - Douglas, Wyoming

Reported by Arpan DeAngelo, Salil Wilson 300.0 mi

Ominous dark clouds as we started this section of Montana with a stormy night.

Luckily we had a safe place to stay as we 'Came as guests and left as friends,' which usually is the case as we meet many new friends along the way.

Dropping in for some repairs at the Spokeshop in Billings, Mountana.

Our bicycles are working very hard to get us across this vast and beautiful country.

Just before we entered Hardin, Montana we were very happy to reach 1,000 miles on our long 4,053 mile journey.

Endless wheat fields as we ride south and east in the 'Big Sky' state of Montana. Soon we will be in Wyoming after riding13 days through beautiful and vast Montana.

We met some new friends in Hardin, Tom and Tracey, who also happened to be on a bike trip.

We thought about swapping 'bikes', as theirs were much faster and comfortable.

Tom and Tracey were super inspired to learn about the Peace Run and Peace Ride. As marine veterans they know and value the importance of peace

An interesting juxtaposition of possible ways to spend one's time.

This was the area near Little Bighorn, the place where General Custer had his last 'stand'.

Finally riding across the border of Montana and Wyoming.

At the 'lonely' border, the U.S. Flag and the Wyoming State Flag, which has the Buffalo as its symbol.

The long and winding road. Beautiful but hot and dry.

In essence, the name 'Crazy Woman' is not tied to a single individual but rather to a collection of legends and folklore involving a woman or women sho lost their minds in the rugged and isolated environment of eastern Wyoming.

An very old classic antique phone we found along the way.  It did not work too well with the local Cell Tower though.

South fork of the Powder River.

Believe it or not this was once a real main road in this part of Wyoming, now completely covered with grass. No traffic jams here!

Another long gravel road heading toward our next destination of Douglas, Wyoming.

"Our Goal can never be a far cry; it is within our reach, provided we constantly look ahead, look deep within and look upward to the highest Height."
