Peace Run begins for the team at Murray Bridge, some kilometres to run before we meet the students of Bridgewater School.

Also catching up on some report writing. Everyone pitches in to complete the necessary tasks of the Peace Run, including a new mascot! Seen here holding the torch for his first run.

Hello from the School Captains of Bridgewater Primary School! They will lead the team into the program.

Adelaide is a transition point for the team so there are many more teammates from here and also runners arriving from other points in the world to join for the leg from Adelaide to Perth.

Bridgewater School is a wonderful entry point into Adelaide for the runners. Thanks to the School Captains, we make a dynamic start!

The Peace Run Team has the singular honour of bestowing the Torch Bearer Award on Dr. Richard Harris today at the Bridgewater School. He was instrumental in saving the lives of 13 young soccer players and their coach trapped in a series of caves in Thailand in 2018. An excellent cave diver and also a physician, 'Dr. Harry' and a group of his cave diving friends saved 13 lives under very risky and dangerous conditions. He is much loved and admired for his courage, humility and goodness. He has made a life's work of inspiring and encouraging others to follow their dreams and to become the best they can be. He also holds the title of Lieutenant Governor of South Australia. His life is a measure of excellence and continuing service to humanity. Thank you Dr. Harris for all you do to serve humanity. You are a shining example to all of us.

Dr. Harry leads the team out of Bridgewater School as we begin our run up Mount Lofty – a 10km Peace Run from the school.

Muggi and Padmanandana meet Blake. He is traveling by car. This is the second time the team has seen Blake who held the torch in Warrnambool.

The women's team makes a short visit to say hello to Heidi who will receive the Torch-Bearer Award tomorrow. She has been instrumental in placing many Peace Poles throughout South Australia. Heidi's daughter is team captain of South Australia's women's Aussie rules football team.

Good evening to the young and excellent women athletes. You are setting an incredible example to women everywhere!

Heidi speaks about the significance of Peace Poles and their global reach. Her passion and dedication are an insipiration!

After a wonderful day, Padmalaya from Adelaide hosts the women's team with a fantastic and much anticipated meal. Thank you so much for welcoming us and making us feel right at home.
