Manly, NSW - Sydney, NSW

Reported by Nina Cenková, Roxana Magdici 30.0 km

Good morning from the Australian Reptile Park! Tim, holding the Peace Torch, welcomes us together with Brandon and Dylan. They are excited that the Peace Run makes a stop at the park. Tim is touched by the idea of the Peace Run and gives big hugs to the whole team. Later, we meet Kraken, a komodo dragon and we gently pet the koalas! A big thank you to everyone at the Reptile Park for this beautiful experience and for sharing so much joy with us.

Brandon tells Willow, a special kangaroo he rescued 8 months ago, about the Peace Torch.

Jana, from Czech Republic, hugged by the koala.

Edgar, who loves hanging out with people, holds the Peace Torch with Jana!

Akzhanar, from Kyrgyzstan, is over the moon!

Thank you Bridgette for your most welcoming and encouraging words!  We hope that one day your inspiring park becomes an official site dedicated to Peace, joining a larger family of iconic landmarks, such as the Taj Mahal and the Niagara Falls.

A truly special moment, during our time in Manly is visiting Hon. Mayor Sue Heins. She is really touched by our visit, and we can all feel how much the message of the Peace Run means to her.

We plant a Peace Tree, which will be taken care by Lloyd, Denise and other local dedicated and selfless volunteers.

Thank you Mrs. Nicki Adams for organising such an unforgettable time together. We are inspired by your presence, a truly supportive and thoughtful manager.

Annabel Hepworth, holding the Peace Torch, joins us as we run from Manly to Sydney and shows us a most beautiful costal route.

We meet very nice hearts along the way, taking a moment of peace with us.

"Sydney Opera House, Sydney!

Australia’s life epiphany.

Majesty’s power, dignity’s tower,

Perfection-dreamer, delight-bestower.

World-culture-hunger sleeplessly you feed;

Your service-harbour, cynosure indeed!"

Meanwhile, our men's team is running through the streets of Sydney, heading south, away from the centre of Sydney.

The team finishes the day's run at Kyeemagh Dog Beach. Edgars and Satyagraha chose this hippopotamus as a marker for the start of the next day.

Thanks to Woolworths Coogee we will be able to eat well and regain our strength again!
