Carmarthen - St Davids

The Chairman of Carmarthenshire County Council, Cllr Peter Hughes Griffiths, who we met the day before at the Botanic Gardens is on the steps to greet us.

Arriving at Ysgol Y Dderwen - our only school in Carmarthen

The whole school is in the playground and everyone has a moment to hold the torch.

Jana offers some very very 'high' fives

Then in the Assembly Hall we are invited to make a presentation

These amazing singers are in the world famous Junior Eisteddfod singing competition

The Mayor Councillor Barry Williams is also at the school to welcome us

The Headteacher, Mr Dylan Evans, accepts the Certificate of Appreciation from the runners

Mr Evans leads us in the Lord's Prayer in Welsh

Morrisson's Supermarket in Carmarthen offers their support by supplying us with vouchers

On our run westwards we meet Shaun Tyrrell and Wyn Alan

We were running through the beautiful town of Narberth and a local councillor, Lisa Tucker, arranged for us to meet the Mayor, Elisabeth Rogers

Finally we reach the coast, west of Haverfordwest.

The runners enjoy scenic views along the Pembrokeshire Trail

It is a magical evening as we set off on the final leg from Solva to St David's
