We spent last night camping at Lakeside Campground- an exquisite location on the shores of Lake Erie.

It is a family owned campground and everyone was so welcoming and friendly! They gave us complimentary huge campsites and topped that with free firewood!

Atul enjoying the sunset.

We met this big family 2 sites down from us that were so friendly! they are from all different parts of America, and picked this spot as the most central to come together. Asia is pictured holding the torch.

A big thank you to John, pictured with the torch, his wife, Cindy, daughter Amber, and son-in-law Ray. People like you touch the hearts of everyone you meet and in doing so, definitely spread peace in the world- your place is an oasis for all!

The mens team ran the first miles today- about 10 steps out of the campground we were already in Pennsylvania!

Our firs stop of the day was to the Boys and Girls Club of Erie, where we met a fun group of kids!

Feeling the Peace...

We loved meeting you all!

We loved meeting you all!

Making wishes for peace is always special!

Time to run for peace!

Sheldon's dedication to the kids of this club is most inspiring. Like many boys and girls clubs around America, this place serves a special role in providing a safe and loving place for these kids to be.

The Club Director, John, leading the Peace Train. Thank you for all you do!

The kids made a corridor for us to run through as we headed to our next destination, Thank you for so enthusiastically taking part!

WICU even came out to cover our visit!

Our next visit was to the YMCA Camp Sherwin.

Mexico!

A kangaroo??

yes thats peace!

Peace feels good!

The kids gave us this artwork to take to Chicago for an exhibit of kids artwork from around Canada and the US- thank you!

Thank you everyone from Camp Sherwin for spreading the peace!

Our last stop of the day was to the beautiful Sheldon Calvary Camp, a Christian summer camp of the Episcopal Diocese which has been in existence in 1936!

We loved meeting these kids!

Most of the Camp Councellers came to the camp as young children and keep coming every year. It is really one big family!

The whole Camp sang one of their Peace songs for us!

The kids made these peace ribbons for us.

Leslie has been coming to the camp since 1964 as a child , and pretty much every year since then as a counceller and Camp leader. What a testament to the goodness of the camp!

Thank you so much to Executive Director, Mr. Tim Green, Director of Spiritual Life, The Rev. Leslie Reimer, and all the councelors and childern who make this place a true oneness family!

Our great Peace Runner from Mexico/Florida, Santiva, is still recovering from a twisted ankle, but can now walk a little so she will hopefully be back to pounding the pavement soon!

Jamini is building up her mileage!

We met so many super friendly people along the way today!

Arpan the great made a wonderful dessert for the team- Bhadrika was all smiles! A sweet end to a super sweet day on the road!
