Red Lodge, MT - Hardin, MT

The sky was flooded with stars in this moonless midnight sky.

A big thank you to Perry's RV and Campground for providing the team with discounted accommodation. We really loved our time here camping amongst the trees alongside the Rock Creek River.

The mens team headed back up Bear Tooth Pass early in the morning to enjoy the exquisite scenery and film some not-to-be-missed footage to share with the world!

Meanwhile, true to his word our wonderful new friend, Red Lodge Mayor Dave Westwood, met the womens team early at the local Red Lodge Airport to take us all for a ride in his Zlin N242MP!

Dhavala was up first! We all basked in the majestic peace of the sky and view.  Several of us were even treated to experiencing aerobatics!

"An aeroplane reminds us of how we want our consciousness to fly from country to country throughout the length and breadth of the world, in the skies of Infinity. Aeroplanes bring countries closer than the closest and, at the same time, they give us the message of the unknowable Infinity." -Sri Chinmoy

The panoramic views of the surrounding landscape were breathtakingly beautiful!

Marina takes the wheel!

Santiva took the Peace Torch along for the ride!

Chintamani is always all smiles, but today her smile is especially big!

We were delighted to meed Lt. Col. Mari Metzler, who happened to run by and ended up spending a couple of hours with us! She is originally from Red Lodge and is presently based at the US Air Force Base in Hawaii. She very generously offered to take some of us for a ride with her when we come to Hawaii in September as our 50th and final State. We loved meeting her and look forward to connecting again soon!

Dave enjoying a moments rest after taking us all on 5 flights in succession. Words cannot convey our gratitude for his generosity and kindness. Thank you Dave, you are a great inspiration and your giant heart is definitely making the world a more peaceful and happy place!

Making new friends along the way.

By the time the womens team was ready to run, it was super hot! We poured water on our heads to help save ourselves from the searing heat.

We experienced a dramatic change in scenery from the previous day!

No flames allowed out here !

Tavishi met this lovely woman at the gas station who was thrilled to hold the torch!

Peace-train,  Bound for the bliss-station,  Is open to all.  -Sri Chinmoy

Another beautiful day comes to an end...

To have peace,  Be the one who says  A permanent farewell  To self-indulgence  And self-pity. -Sri Chinmoy
