We awoke to see what wonders this new day would bring us....

Tamas, brewing up something to fuel the day.

With no mileage to cover today, some of us decided to have a 2 mile race. Abhinandan found a quiet stretch of road, we used our Peace Run vans as a start and turn-around point and off we went. There was a joy in running together, one after another after so many weeks of running alone, often stretched for 200km along a road. Edgars led the way in 12:08.

After a swim in a nearby Springs we had a picnic lunch.

Today, we say goodbye to Todor from North Macedonia, Sarankhuu from Mongolia, and Abhinandan from Australia. And with open arms, we welcome Saranyu from Australia, Akzanar from Kyrgyzstan, Helena from Canada, and Pasha from Canada.

Today marks a significant transition in our journey—a symbolic moment as the Peace Torch is passed from one team to the next.

A dedicated link of six runners will carry the torch forward, while the rest of the team bids a fond farewell to this ancient and special land—Australia. As they return to their lives and work, they carry with them the memories and spirit of a journey unlike any other.

Our path has taken us from Perth to Darwin, along roads that some might call desolate and endless—but to the Peace Runners, they are ever-changing, deeply moving, and full of life.

We've run through vast landscapes and into the hearts of both small and large communities, sharing the Peace Torch and hearing the heartfelt stories of those who cherish peace and express it in their own unique ways.

These encounters have been humbling, uplifting, energising, and thought-provoking. Along the way, we’ve met some of the most incredible souls—people whose love, strength, and dedication shine brightly. We’ve run thousands of kilometres to find them and to witness the amazing work they do, fueled by a heart-power so inspiring it fills you to the brim.

Each morning, as we rise to run once again across this breathtaking land, we wonder: where will the Peace Torch take us today? Who will it meet next?

The journey continues, lit by the flame of peace, carried by the strength of many hearts.
