Today we visited the National Transportation Museum and the National Route 66 Museum located on Route 66 in historic Elk City, Oklahoma.

In the Transportation Museum we saw all eight states to which the Mother Road runs. They have interesting artifacts, antique cars and the great spirit of Route 66.

The ladies team following Route 66 from Illinois to California.

So eager to arrive to San Diego.

Devashishu showing this woman our Peace Run running route.

Replica of an old fashioned general store. Several items throughout the store are antiques, some dating back over a 100 yrs.

Time to buy groceries for tomorrow's lunch for the team.

The Old Town Museum is based on a beautiful two story Victorian house where you can see early day pioneer life.

Upstairs, the museum is dedicated to cowboy and rodeo memorabilia donated kindly by the Beutler Brothers Rodeo Stock Producers.

Taking care of a patience in the hospital.

Visiting the Chapel.

The team really enjoyed visiting the museums today.

It was time to start running towards Amarillo,Texas.

The media was waiting for us at the Cactus Cove Inn hotel.

We stoped at Cactus Cove Inn and Suites. We expressed our gratitude for arranging accommodations for us tonight. We shared a certificate of appreciation for their generosity and kindness.

We continued running towards the Amarillo Botanical Gardens.

We met Adam Eduardo Solis Alpirez along the way. He is a prolific mexican triathlete and will represent Mexico in Dubai November 12-15. He has competed in world championships so we wish him good luck in Dubai, I feel so proud of him representing Mexico.

Some new friends along the way.

We finally arrived at our destination.  Great job team!

It is nice to stretch after running in the cool shade.

We would like to thank Mike from 575 pizzeria and his amazing crew for their kindness and offering us free pizza today. We are most grateful.
