This is the first tunnel of the day on the Milwaukee Road rail trail enroute to the Continental Divide, our highest point of the Peace Ride.

We have now reached the Continental Divide. This is a mountain ridge that runs north and south and separates the flow of water on the continent.

Taking a short break to touch the Jefferson River which flows into the Missouri River and then into the Mississippi River, eventually reaching the Gulf of Mexico.

Approaching the town of Belgrade, Montana, we met two other local bikers, Dawn and Cindy from Belgrade. They were happy to share the Peace Torch and offer their goodwill and wishes for peace.

For a moment we thought we reached New York already upon seeing the Statue of Liberty. But it was just a replica. Still a long way to go.

We met two more kind bikers on the road who wanted to make wishes for peace with the Peace Torch. Renee and Paul are from Vashon Island, south of Seattle, Washington.
