We welcomed several new team members who have now joined the team until Darwin.

This morning, the Peace Run team enjoyed a special visit to Caversham Wildlife Park in Perth. This beautiful sanctuary, dedicated as a Sri Chinmoy Peace-Blossom in 2013, offers a unique opportunity to connect with Australia’s native wildlife in a peaceful, natural setting.

During their visit, the team explored the various enclosures and had the chance to meet some of the park’s beloved residents—including Summer the wombat, a gentle 14-year-old snake, and of course, the ever-popular koalas and kangaroos.

We also enjoyed a farm show, with demonstrations of sheep shearing and herding.

Thank you so much to Deb for arranging our visit and her long-time support of the Peace Run.

Emily, one of our new team members who just joined us in Perth took the chance to feed the kangaroos.

It was a heartwarming and memorable experience for all, filled with moments of joy, connection, and appreciation for the natural world.

To end a special day in Perth the Peace Run was warmly welcomed to Osborne Primary School. Todor leads us in through a heavy shower of rain.

Here the students had done an amazing job at preparing for the Peace Torches arrival, offering three musical performances and creating an amazing backdrop of artwork that the students had created in the lead up to the Peace Run visit.

A moment of peace.

Some skits to show peaceful behaviour- Edgars helps Denis remove several stones from his shoe!

The teachers, led by the Principal all did a lap around the students in recognition of the hard work and dedication to the students learning.

The two School captains received a reproduction of Sri Chinmoy’s art for their school and offered words of thanks to the Peace Run team for coming to their school.

Some of the students presented us with very imaginative artwork that they had made for our visit -Thank you.

The rain eased up just as the ceremony finished, giving everyone the opportunity to go outside to hold the torch and then run with the Peace Torch.

A big thank you to the coordinators in Perth for creating a most special and memorable event.

This concluded the official ceremony with an opportunity to spend a little more time, answer any questions and meet some of the parents who had come to see the presentation.
