Јули 10, 2025 Live from the road

Renner Springs, NT - Threeways, NT

Reported by Atulya Berube, Pasha Royden, Roxana Magdici 136.0 km

Today was a shorty for the whole team.

Team A ran right out from the Roadhouse campground.  Prachar valiantly carried the torch for the first 5k...

...while the rest of the teams tried to sort out the food shopping list for the next 2 days. We often have to plan like this here in the outback.

We quickly caught up to Prachar who was already battling a headwind that only got stronger as each runner took to the road.

Atulya, being of smaller stature was nearly lost to the wild several times. Perhaps next time we have tie a lead on him. Hate to lose the little guy! :-)

With shorter km's today, some of the team elected to speed up and add some pace to their journey, sprinting short distances of their runs.

After our running we popped into our accommodation for the night to set up our tents and regroup for the afternoon's activities.

A big shopping bonanza was the first of the afternoon's entertainment with the team driving past the days endpoint to a large grocery store. Here the whole Peace Run invaded the store, buying an inordinate amount of vegetables and meals as the next two days are set to be remote and sparse.

The second event was a lengthy detour off route to The Devil's Marbles (Karlu Karlu), a massive site of peculiar rock formations.

Karlu Karlu is sacred and both inwardly and outwardly stunning.

There were many photo opportunities as the whole team came together to explore these natural and unbelievable rock evolutions.

The free standing boulders stacked on top of each other were seen in every direction.

The soil erosion for hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) of years left them standing as if someone with a huge crane put them in place.

Some appeared as if a strong breath could send the tumbling.

We had fun creating interesting photos and video footage. A visual artist’s dream!

Gratitude to the First Nations people and this sacred land for this memorable experience.

What a joyful day for the team!
