Our day begins at McWillie Elementary in Jackson, Mississippi.

Jack carries the torch as we run into the school.

The teachers are invited to come up and then run a lap of the room with the torch.

Thank you to everyone at McWillie Elementary for an inspiring visit.

Our next visit is to Agape Montessori Christian Academy in Vicksburg, Mississippi, a school of 75 students.

These two girls are very quick to guess the nationality of each runner.

Jayashri from Canada has joined the Peace Run team for a few days.

Pancake meets the team.

We collect a small sample of Mississippi soil.

Gracie and Hailey from Bohemian Cafe and Bakery offer us coffee.

We take a few minutes to view the Mississippi river before we cross it into Louisiana.

In Tallulah, Louisiana we visit Wright Elementary School. The Mayor, Yvonne Lewis, is waiting to greet us outside.

Tina Johnston is the Director of Tourism in Tallulah.

Cathy Goldtree is a successful local businesswoman who runs a Day Care Center.

This gentleman offered an incredible rendition of Amazing Grace.

This gentleman also sang for us.

Alfred McClodden has been welcoming us and running with us in Tallulah since 1999. He presents us with a Proclamation from the City of Tallulah.

Mayor Yvonne Lewis receives the Torch Bearer Award.
