Charlottetown

Some of our running route today took us through some of PEI's picturesque farmland with its famous red soil.

We received a very warm welcome from the students and staff at Parkdale School.

At every ceremony we invite the students and staff to take a moment of silence to feel peace in their hearts.

The staff treated the students to a mini torch relay right there in the gym!

Michelle McCabe received the Torch Bearer award in a short but touching ceremony on the eve of her retirement. She is clearly a dedicated person committed to the wellbeing of all the students at Parkdale.

Principal Kristen Moore gives Michelle the Torch Bearer medal.

Running with the torch became a fun outing on the first day of June for the kids at Parkdale.

We received a very warm welcome from West Kent Elementary including from the Principal, Janel and the mascott Wessie!

Medur bravely sported a wig for maximum effect during the skit portion of our presentation.

This lovely family recognized us in the evening from having seen our school presentation. They got a chance to hold the torch again!

The men's running team came across some of PEI's famous tulips which are sold far and wide in Canada.

We met some lovely people as we ran off from our school ceremonies.
