We are enormously grateful to the Courtyard La Crosse Downtown/Mississippi Riverfront for once again supporting the Peace Run with complimentary rooms. They have sponsored the runners many times now and are true peace lovers.
The staff came out to hold the Peace Torch and share their own dream of peace.
We were just a short run away from our first ceremony today at Erickson Boys and Girls Club.
The children were amped up and ready!
But they were also quite ready to shift gears into soulfulness.

Local media was on hand to capture the event, but we captured him instead. He's now a Peace Runner.
We never fail to meet the best people. The torch is like a magnet for them. Today, Marco from Wonderstate Coffee in Viroqua, WI offered the team free drinks! He said he felt that our ideals aligned well with theirs and, in his words, "It would be a crime not to give to you guys." We loved the drinks. We loved the shop. We loved Marco and his whole crew.
To show that his enthusiasm was real (not that we had any doubt) Marco went out on the road to find the rest of our team and gave them gifts. What a great example of the Peace Run's ideal that we each give of ourselves to make the world better.
Of course the ladies' team then had to stop at the shop for some delicious coffee.
Wonderstate attracts peace-loving locals, no surprise.
