Cadiz OH - Pittsburgh PA

Reported by Tavishi Matthews 85.0 mi

Our morning began with a wonderful coffee delivery to the team, sponsored by Papaha Gosline of San Diego. Clear Creek Coffee in Wintersville kindly delivered the drinks to us. We all really appreciated the wonderful gesture.

The men's team then ran out of Cadiz.

Dear oh dear!

We typically change runners every two miles.

We bade farewell to Ohio and entered West Virginia.

Our next destination was the Wheeling Arts Festival in Wheeling Park.

The Peace Run Team gave a presentation at the Wheeling Park Arts Festival in Wheeling Park.  We then walked around and passed the Peace Torch to Festival visitors.

Collecting soil in West Virginia as part of the project to plant a Peace Tree in New York using soil from all 50 states. Racquel collected the soil.

We sang the West Virginia song by Sri Chinmoy.

In the afternoon, the women's team was split into two and covered both the Wheeling Heritage Trail and the Panhandle Trail Walkers Mill Bike Trail.

Goga and Anita were inspired to run at top speed.

We arrived in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in the evening.

Gratitude to the Springhill Suites by Marriott for assisting the women's team with overnight accommodation.
