We started our day meeting our friend Jess, who will be joining us running. Her and her husband BJ are co-founders of the YogiTriathlete Podcast, inspiring the world of endurance sports. They share stories of people living their lives with a purpose interviewing doctors, moms, coaches, entrepreneurs and amazing athletes, like our team member Harita, pictured here, has finished several times the longest road race in the world of 3100 miles in New York City.

Later her husband BJ joined our team as well. It was truly and honor to have them both running with us today.

Some friends along the way holding the peace torch.

The team really enjoyed today running through the beautiful California coast.

The men's team visiting the beautiful and serene Peace Garden in San Diego with the statue of founder of the Peace Run, Sri Chinmoy. A great place to reflect and bring about our inner peace and all positivity forward from our hearts before we start our day.

The men's team visited the Self-Realization Fellowship Temple in Encinitas founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920 to spread his teachings worldwide.  Here devotees can easily find peace in nature's beauty with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean.

They met with Brother Vajirananda who gave them a tour of the Botanical Gardens and the St. Francis Circle.

Meditating at the St. Francis Circle.

Thank you so much for your kindness and inviting the team to visit this wonderful spiritual retreat center.

Time for the men's team to start their miles.

Later that day, the women's team visited Rogers Middle School, where students and cheerleaders welcomed the peace torch enthusiastically.

Principal of school, Mr. Chuu, welcomed us and received the Torch Bearer Award for his outstanding service in the community and beloved principal of Rogers Middle School.

Having a moment of peace.

Joining us with the Harmony Run Song.

While playing the guessing game, this student showed us where Mexico was located in North America.

Today was his birthday and Amber, PTA parent, got a cake for him. A very sweet act of kindness. This is also his last year teaching since he will be going to another school. We wish him the best luck in the future.

Receiving the Certificate of Appreciation and a painting by founder of the Peace Run, Sri Chinmoy.

It was time to go outside and have students hold the peace torch and make their own wishes for a more peaceful world.

Thank you Mr. Chuu for having us at your school. We are very grateful.

Sweta missed the ceremony today because Garima took her to get an x-ray done on her foot. Thank you Garima! It's always nice to have you as our official doctor in the Peace Run across America. We are most grateful.
