The team gathered at Brisbane Montessori School in the morning

Students warmly welcomed the Peace Run team by lining up at the entrance in anticipation of the Peace Torch's arrival. As the torch made its way through the crowd, each student took turns running alongside it, gradually forming a united group that came together in the undercover area to learn more about the Peace Run

In preparation for this special day, the students had created vibrant posters and inspiring peace quotes

One student, Rosie, even composed a heartfelt song. She spent three days writing it. The opening lines beautifully capture the spirit of the event:

I want to sing a song for the whole world To bring happiness and joy To unite us With peace and harmony....

Teekhnata, Atulya, Emily, Amalendu, Deveshu and Michal are enjoying their last school ceremony in the Australian Peace Run for this year

Two runners can lift Australia, but running around is not that easy

In which country can you find such a large statue?

In New Zealand we dance like this

Teachers smiling, because they know from which country runners are, but they cant help students

Yes, I'm from Sunshine Coast

Teachers also joined students in The World Harmony Run song with actions

School principal Yvonne Rinaldi expresses her gratitude to the runners for visiting the school

In turn, we express our great gratitude for the warm welcome and participation in the Peace Run. Thank you for your artwork, smiles and inspiration!

As each student held the torch and made their personal wish for peace, the team felt a deep connection with the students and teachers - recognising a shared dedication to the values of unity, kindness and harmony. It was a profoundly moving way to conclude the Darwin - to - Brisbane leg of the Peace Run

Boys will be boys

Thanks to Woolworths Coorparoo!

And now its time to get to know Brisbane a little more. City view from Mount Coot-tha Summit Lookout

We also visited the nearby Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-tha

The team boards on a ferry at "UQ St Lucia" for a one-hour trip along the Brisbane River

Sorry, the best seats are taken!

At the end of the day the team had a delicious dinner at a Turkish restaurant. Nice ending to the Darwin - to - Brisbane leg and start of the final leg to Canberra

This day was a moment of transition. Seven team members, who had journey across Australia for days, weeks or even months, bid farewell. They leave enriched by the experience, having witnessed the hope, promise and goodwill that exists across this vast country. We hope they carry with them an even deeper love for peace and compassion - and that our paths will cross again

As some runners depart, we are delighted to welcome two team members. Jana and Nina from Czech Republic. Their passion for running and commitment to peace will strengthen the team as they help carry the torch through the final weeks of the Australian journey.
