Emily left the campsite early this morning to get us a head start on our miles for the day and take advantage of cooler temperatures.

We had a big day of running today as we covered 287km altogether. This is probably the biggest so far on this run and meant that those runners that wanted to could put in some nice long runs!

The area we are running through gets flooded so there are many height markers along the road. Lucky for us its not the rainy season just now!

We celebrated two birthdays on the team today, one of them was Stacey, our team captain and country co-ordinator for Australia. Stacey not only had the inspiration to take the Peace Run right around Australia once again, she also had the ability to put together a team of organisers and a team of runners to make it a reality. Our gratitude to her for everything she does for the team out on the road.

Anara from Kazakhstan also celebrated her birthday today. Anara always has a smile and is willing to help the team however she can.

Thank you to the Shire of Halls Creek for supplying us with some fruit and water to help refuel us after a long days running.

Many Thanks to Ron at Old Falls Creek campground for kindly giving the team complimentary camping for the night. The campground is in a beautiful setting and was a great place to rest after a big running day.

There was a memorial at the campsite we stayed at to two of the people who were influential in setting up the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Before the use of planes for medical emergencies, doctors would have to travel by car, often for many days to reach patients.
