Balladonia, WA - Norseman, WA

Reported by Atulya Berube, Dhavala Stott, Mahasatya Janczak, Prachar Stegemann, Rathin Boulton 192.0 km

After a spectacular sunrise at our campground, team A had a short run of 27km.

This was our last stretch in the Nullarbor and although rain clouds threatened in the distance...

...we enjoyed a nice early morning run under beautiful cloud formations.

We devoured a lovely stir fried noodle lunch in Norseman on our way to Salmon Gum.

Rathin takes advantage of a trafficless moment to provide an interesting photo.

Muggi, our Mongolian rock, is always ready to run and offer a grounding presence.

Pathik, from Czech Republic, keeps a sharp eye on the details of our day to day itinerary.

One is always welcome to hold the torch and share a wish for peace.

After running the first kilometres of the day, we then drove on to visit Salmon Gums Primary School. Salmon Gums is a small town named after the trees which grow in the area.

We were also happy to have time for the curious kids and teachers to ask us some questions about how the Peace Run works

We were welcomed by a small bright group of 11 kids who joined us with their 3 teachers for our presentation. The school had a wonderful feel of being a big family.

Everyone was on their feet to learn the actions to the World Harmony Run song with great enthusiasm.

They were all interested to hear about the Peace Run’s journey around Australia and joined us in feeling peace in the heart.

Kids everywhere are excited to run with the Peace Torch.

They also enjoyed each of their teachers running with the Torch.

After a final group photo we bid a fond farewell to Salmon Gums, Thank You for welcoming the Peace Run with such open hearts.

Meanwhile Team C was making their way through the rest of the kilometres between Balladonia and Norseman.

Getting creative with photoing the runners. There's a runner in there if you look closely. :-)

We enjoyed being back in what felt like deep forest after our experience of the more treeless sections of the Nullarbor.

Edgars brings the team "home" to Norseman for tonight's stay.

Norseman is quiet, yet some how bustling town on the west end of the Nullarbor.

Our deepest gratitude to Terese for once again hosting the Peace Run. She took us in in 2013 as well. The rooms and showers were very welcomed! The kitchen was a dream to work in.

Our dinner dining area to be.
