Today was the last day of the Japan Peace Run, and all of us were keen to soak in every running moment as we made our way to the final destination — Kamakura City.
９日間の日本ピースランも今日がいよいよ最終日。ゴールの鎌倉市に向けてランを始めます。初日からこれまでの思い出をかみしめながら走り出します。
All of us were cherishing the good memories and experience we had during this nine day long Peace Run journey.
この９日間、本当に色々な経験と出会いがありました。どれもとても素敵な思い出です。

Our first school today was Heiwa Gakuen Elementary School in Chigasaki City.
今日最初の訪問先は、茅ヶ崎市にある平和学園。
Sudasa's smart way of giving hint about Tokyo as "etto..etto..etto..". 'Etto' is a common filler word in Japanese but he says "edo..edo..edo.." - 'Edo' is an old name for Tokyo.
国当てゲームでは日本人スタッフの都道府県当てクイズも。「僕の出身地は、えっとー、えっどー、えどー…どこだっけ？」
Principal Kobayashi received the Torch Baerer award on behlaf of the School. As the name of the school "Heiwa Gakuen" (i.e. Peace School) indicates, its mission is to create peacemakers. Not only in philosophy but abundantly in practice they work on realizing this goal. Their dedication to peace is closely aligned with the motto of the Peace Run - "Peace begins with me".
平和学園にピースランから、トーチベアラー賞が贈られました。代表で小林校長先生が受け取ってくださいます。
学校で平和について学ぶ場合、大きな戦争について考える学習が多い中で、平和学園は心を大切にし平和を作る人を育てる事を長年実践していらっしゃいます。 事前訪問の際、子供さん達が等身大で自分なりの平和を考えていて、平和を作る人になりたいと聞けたのは頼もしく、ピースランのモットーであるPeace begins with me.と通じると思いました。

平和学園からすぐの海岸沿いの５キロをチーム皆で走ります。
It was sunny and nearly 30 degrees but the breathtaking views and cool breeze made our run very memorable.
気温は３０度近い晴れ、強い日差しでしたが、湘南の海は美しく、サーファーの方達もたくさん訪れており、潮風に吹かれつつの思い出深いランになりました。
A very delightful lunch stopover at Japan's very own chain of American style fast food.
お昼は５キロのゴール地点にある、モスで。今日はファーストフード。
We indulged ourselves with vegan burgers and shakes.
ソイパテのバーガーセット。ドリンクに抹茶ラテを選んだメンバーも数名。日本を最後まで味わいたい！
