Another day on the road. Due to unexpected heavy snowfall and road closures, the team is bound to take an alternative route which will take them 500km around the pre-established route to arrive at the desired destination. The 191km section that was not run will be covered soon.

Upon arriving in Tamworth, we had a meeting with the volunteers at the Tamworth Regional Astronomy and Science Centre
We had a brief ceremony and introduction before entering the building. It was lovely to learn that the Astronomy Centre attracts not only locals, but also people from around Australia and different parts of the world

We are delighted that the Tamworth Regional Astronomy and Science Centre will join the garland of Sri Chinmoy Peace-Blossom Places dedicated to peace and global friendship. By looking into the Universe, we discover that everything is in perfect balance for life to be sustained on Earth. So may this outer discovery about life help us also in our inner discovery, to find out who we are and why we are here.

It had been disassembled until 2016, when skilled engineers managed to reconstruct it without using a manual

In Canberra, some of our peace runners participated in the Sri Chinmoy Trail 100.
The Sri Chinmoy Canberra Trail 100 is one of Australia’s premier ultra-distance trail runs. Participants can either run the entire 100km loop around Australia’s “Bush Capital’ solo, or form a relay team of 4 legs.
The Peace Run entered a team in the relay division of today’s event, carrying the Peace Torch the full 100km, and sharing the Torch with numerous participants and spectators along the way.

On the road, our Peace Run team was hosted by the Tamworth Hillvue Scout Hall. We extend our sincere gratitude to Neil Bryan for opening the doors and welcoming us with an open heart. He loved hearing about our journey around the continent.
