We ran with enthusiastic students in the town of Thames. These boys from Parawai are very fast!

We are both from Africa!

Teachers demonstrate to their students how to run and share the positive message of the Peace Run

Runners carry the torch towards Paeroa.

We met individuals along the way who responded to the flaming torch and wanted to know more about it.

The women's team at the icon that welcomes people up Paeroa, the locally inspired Lemon & Paeroa drink. The team drank "L & P", water and coconut water to replace the fluids and carbohydrates from all the running!

Paeroa Central greets the team with smiles, artwork and high fives.

Everyone enjoying the sunshine after a run with the torch.

Walton School really gets involved. Here the students are ready to watch a video showing some of the 165 countries the torch has visited.

Matamata-Piako District Mayor Adrienne Wilcock with her grand-daughter. Four generations of her family have attended Walton School.
