Our first ceremony was at the Pagosa Springs Town Hall where we met with the staff and had breakfast.

Devashishu benefitted from the healing hands of Markus from San Juan Sports Massage. Markus treated József's injury two years ago!

Dina stopped to hold the torch.

Linda Janos offered her healing hands and spirit to Harita. Linda and her husband Randy were extremely kind and hospitable to us. Linda is also connecting us with Oofos sandals to help heal our feet!

Linda came out to walk with the torch and blend with the spirit of the team.

On the trail to Durango.

We were treated to lunch at Himalayan Kitchen, one of our favorite stops. For the last few Peace Runs through Durango, we have been blessed with delicious food there, all due to the kindness of Karma Tenzing Bhotia of Nepal.

After lunch, a run through Durango to the gazebo.

We were received by Gilda Yazzie, former Mayor of Durango and current City Councillor. She shared an indigenous prayer for our wellbeing and wanted to run with the torch!

By chance we ran into Jessica (middle), current Mayor Pro-tem, who was on a walk with her grandmother, mother and sister.

Jerry McBride, reporter from the Durango Herald.

A boy walking through Durango with his family was inspired by the torch and ran for a few blocks.

We were all given amazing artisan ice cream at the Cream Bean Berry.

Durango is famous for its Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. We went to the museum to see incredible exhibits, including walking through old train cars.

Running the road to Cortez, Colorado.

Arriving in Cortez, where the men's team was hosted by the Sleeping Ute Mountain Motel.

The daughter of one of the owners was very excited to show us her lizard.

At least one member of the team was not excited to pet the lizard!

The women's team were treated by the Retro Inn at Mesa Verde.

After the previous night camping in the rain in Pagosa Springs, we set out the tents to dry in much warmer and drier Cortez.
