Our day began quite early as we had just changed time zones. So even though it was only 7.00 am it felt like 6.00 am.
Our first meeting was with the lovely town folk of Gregory, SD. Director of Library Tara Engel, Jaime Braun, Gregory Dallas Chamber Director and Trudy Waterman, City Finance Director were among those who met us.
Teekhnata ran across the Fort RandalI Dam which is on the mighty Missouri River. The dam was named after the historic Old Fort Randall, a prominent 19th-century military outpost located just downriver. The Army Corps of Engineers built the dam between 1943 and 1956. It was the largest construction project ever undertaken in South Dakota at the time.
At one of our last stops in South Dakota we were very grateful to meet a wonderful representation of Yankton Citizens.
