The men's team had wonderful accommodations at Natabara's mom's house. We would like to express our gratitude for a wonderful meal and desserts for the team.
The women's team would like to offer our gratitude to Embassy Suites by Hilton in Portland Washington Square in Tigard, OR for offering us the Presidential Suite during our stay.
Time to start our running for the day to complete our 62 miles as a team. Attila not wasting time in adding the miles.
While running by the Cowlitz river, we met 2 very friendy bikers on their way to Seattle. Thank you for stopping and making a wish for world peace.
A couple of the quilter group ladies. They make beautiful quilts that are displayed throughout the senior center.
We would like to thank all the wonderful people we met at the Senior Center for putting together the Ice Cream Social for us. It was delightful talking to all of you. We enjoyed it very much. Gratitude.
We were so happy to meet Arlene, Mason and Terry who happened to be driving past and pulled over to meet Harita and hold the Peace Torch!
Some of us finished our running in Winlock and were delighted to literally stumble upon Sri Chinmoy Street! Seeing the famous "World's Largest Egg" decorated for the 250th Anniversary, we decided to stop for a photo op, looked up and saw we were standing under this street. Although we did not have any meetings with locals this year, over the years we have been warmly welcomed many times, and the City of Winlock was kind enough to dedicate this street, right beside the famous egg, to Peace Run Founder, Sri Chinmoy, back in 2007!
